Station wagons are getting pushed in the corner by crossovers and SUV’s. Though many brands still have them in their range, and Ford is one of them.

Sexual intercourse. Remember when you were a kid, sitting on the back seat of your parents station wagon during that summer vacation? How could you forget that hot family road trip, since that is when you discovered your dad’s dirty magazines under the seat. After that, your parents had no choice than explaining you that trees got knocked down in order to print these, and at the same time tell you all about the birds and the bees, a refined way to talk about courtship and sexual intercourse. However, since you were just 3 years old at that time, it was a good thing you caught them in the act 7 years later, so they could explain it to you once again…

Others are also doing it. Though the station wagon isn’t all about memories, in fact, it’s alive and kicking. Take a look at Porsche for example, and what they did with their Panamera. Their Panamera Sport Turismo station wagon looks amazing, and other brands are following their lead. Volvo has a wagon version of their V90 sedan, Mercedes-Benz gives ladies a smile on their face with the AMG E63 S wagon, while others manufacturers like BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Fiat and Subaru also have a range of station wagons to offer. But these are being designed and marketed to the luxury car segment.

Get a grip. Although Bram’s Ford Focus ST doesn’t belong to the luxury club, it sure has a thing or two going on that brings it to a higher level. First of all, it’s an ST, so it has enough power on board. Second, it comes with a V3 suspension kit from KW automotive, so that means it dives a lot easier into corners without losing its grip of having to make compromises in any way.
