_ZENVO TSR-S: THE HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSON OF HYPERCARS

Now is the time to buy a supercar, and take it Grand-Theft-Auto-style to the city. Since everybody is in lockdown at their home, and those who aren’t are probably lost pickpockets and bag-snatchers. So basically roadkill that could be considered as collateral damage. Of course you need a decent supercar, and since factories like Ferrari and Lamborghini are closed these days, we suggested you do your supercar shopping up-north. In Denmark to be more precise…

A feminist and a poet. Præstø is a town on the east coast of Zealand, Denmark. The town is the home of several famous people like Pauline Worm (feminist), Henry Johnson (emigrated American farmer), Karl Adolph Gjellerup (poet) and Knud Olsen (designer of boats). Okay, famous within the local quarter mile range. Though there’s one more we need to mention, and that you should store in your memory, and that is Troels Vollertsen.

Invasion, Armstrong and a nipple. Because it wasn’t Pauline, Henry, Karl or Knud who founded Zenvo, but Troels himself. He found Zenvo back in 2004, the year were the CIA admitted that there was no imminent threat from wapens of mass destruction before the 2003 invasion of Iraq, Lance Armstrong won his 6th consecutive Tour de France and Justin Timberlake showed Janet Jackson’s nipple to the rest of the world during the Super Bowl halftime show.

Green pencils. The first prototype of the Zenvo was completed in 2008, when Greta Thunberg was 5 years old and started to color with green colour pencils. Troels named the prototype the Zenvo ST1, and just a year later the car hitter production. Only 15 Zenvo ST1 cars were built and sold. The ST1 has a twin charged 7.0 liter LS7 V8 engine that generates 1104 hp, combined with a torque of a massive 1430 Nm. Good for a sprint from nothing to 100 km/h is 3 seconds and a topspeed of 375 km/h.

The alphabet. The car we feature in this article is the Zenvo TSR-S. It is a street legal version of the Zenvo TSR, een race car built for track days. The TSR then, is a hardcore version of the Zenvo TS1. And finally, that Zenvo TS1 is the follow-up of the Zenvo ST1. In case you lost track by now, so did we. Guess somebody has to tell Zenvo that the alphabet has a total of 26 syllables and vowels.

Carbon fiber virus. Carbon fiber is the keyword with this 1177 hp strong TSR-S model including, and this a first for Zenvo, carbon fiber wheels. Also the bodywork and chassis are made of carbon fiber. Same goes for the spoilers and many interior parts. The geometric pattern carbon fiber visible within the blue tinted central stripe is a further evolution of Zenvo’s in-house carbon fiber technology and personalisation options.

Expensively fast. Forget about the zero-100 km/h time, since this Zenvo catapults from standstill to 200 km/h is just 6,8 seconds! Since the TSR-S is priced at 1,45 million US dollar, that means around 200.000 US dollar per second. The Zenvo hypercar is equipped with KW automotive technology and proves that the suspension brand isn’t afraid to tackle sports cars in the highest class. In fact, so far all produced Zenvo cars rely on KW automotive technology.
